Holiday season is officially in full swing, and with that comes an influx of seasonal soirée invitations to celebrate the season. Between the office holiday party, your best friend’s annual ugly sweater shindig, and your family’s celebration, this is the time of year when you’ll be putting a lot of thought into the outfits you’re rocking to each event you’ve got on the docket this month. But while a glance at your over-packed December social calendar might have you stressing about what to wear at ever party on your list, one of Hollywood’s top celeb stylists, Maeve Reilly – she’s worked with everyone from Halsey to Bebe Rexha to Hailey Baldwin – recently dished to Who What Wear about the biggest trick to knocking your holiday ensembles out of the park. The secret: finding what makes you feel most comfortable and going with it.

“I always say dress for your body type and dress for what works for you as a woman, and that’s where the confidence is going to come from,” Reilly said in the interview. “That’s the most important thing to me. Comfort is key, and it’s just about finding cool pieces that look elevated.”

Aside from dressing for comfort and confidence – both things that we can totally get behind, for the record – Reilly also noted that another important holiday party dressing tip is to focus on layering, which is a tip that she says holds true regardless of what part of the country you’re in.
